Frequently asked questions
How do I manage or cancel Birdie Weather Pro?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Birdie Weather Pro. You can switch between monthly and yearly or cancel there. Canceling keeps Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
I subscribed on another device. How do I get Pro here?
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account, then open Birdie Weather, go to Settings, tap Birdie Weather Pro, and tap Restore Subscription.
What's included in Pro?
Storm and lightning alerts, the Apple Watch app and watch face complication, the 7-day best-day outlook, unlimited favorite courses, your full round history, and alternate app icons. Weather, plays-like distances, club recommendations and today's best window are free.
Why does the app ask for my location?
On the course, your location lets Birdie Weather measure the distance and direction to a target you pick on the map, and your elevation, which changes how far the ball carries. It's only used while the app is open and never leaves your device. You can turn it off in Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, and the rest of the app still works.
The forecast won't load.
Check that you're connected to the internet, then pull down on the Round tab to refresh. Forecasts come from Apple Weather, so a brief outage there can cause delays.
My widget or alerts seem out of date.
Birdie Weather refreshes in the background, but iOS decides how often. Make sure Background App Refresh is on for Birdie Weather in Settings, General, Background App Refresh, and avoid force-quitting the app. Opening the app always updates everything.
The Apple Watch app says to open Birdie Weather on my iPhone.
Open the app on your iPhone once so it can send your course and conditions to your watch. The watch app is part of Birdie Weather Pro.
How do I keep my data on a new iPhone?
Turn on Sync with iCloud in the app's Settings. Your courses, club distances and round history then follow your Apple Account to your other devices.
